A Little Tale for Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve! And I’m happy for two reasons:
1. I really like Christmas
2. My computer is fixed
Also here’s a fun story: I found a FREE TV
That’s right, while I was out riding my bike I stumbled upon this beauty:

Ain’t it gorgeous? I impulsively decided that this TV was something I needed in my life more than any item I had ever seen. I rang the doorbell of the house it was in front of and inquired if they were indeed throwing away this lovely television set, if it still worked, and if so could I take it off there hands? They answered yes on all accounts.
Unfortunately I couldn’t carry it and ride my bike at the same time, so I ended up doing this:
Step One: Ride bike ten feet.
Step Two: Go back and pick up TV.
Step Three: Carry TV ten feet.
Step Four: Repeat steps one through three for seven blocks.
It was a long and egregious journey, but at last I got the television home, plugged it in…
…and discovered that the damn thing wouldn’t even turn on.
I must have broken it while I was carrying it home.
Or maybe the original owners lied about it being functional to punish me for bothering them about their garbage on Christmas Eve.

Oh well. I at least I got some exercise carrying that TV home and then kicking it to the curb.

Happy Christmas!

My laptop is fried

So I haven’t been posting updates for the past few days. The reason isn’t laziness (or at least isn’t JUST laziness) it’s because my computer is broken. Not sure what the problem is I think there’s something wrong with the video card because the screen is constantly spazing out. I was hoping to have it fixed by now, but the Dell guy didn’t come by today (again). Anyway, I’m borrowing my dad’s computer to type this and feeling kind of lousy…
BUT I know what will cheer me up: platypuses.

Nothing cheers me up faster than pictures of my favorite egg laying venomous mammal.

If you want to look at more platypuses then do a google image search for “Platypuses”. Or go to Australia. These are both good options.

(PS: The Darren Criss concert was TOTALLY AWESOME. Even though I had to stand outside in the rain for an hour waiting to see it.)

EXAMS ARE OVER

No art today. Haven't had time to work on anything worthwhile. I'm in a super good mood though because exams are over and winter break has started.

I saw Black Swan last night. It was hard to watch. Not because it was a bad movie, but because it was a painful movie. Lots of pain both mental and physical. It made me glad I never took ballet. It also made me glad that I'm not insane.

Tonight I'm going to see Darren Criss (AKA Harry Freaking Potter and Kurts Boyfriend on Glee a show I don't watch) in concert, so that should be fun I hope.

In the meantime here's a picture of Stafy from Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

I lied about there being no art today.

Passive Ghosts

I'm going to try and get involved with the school newspaper next semester. I'm hoping to be a writer and maybe do a comic if they'll let me!

Speaking of comics:
Drew this last night when I got tired of studying and couldn't sleep. Two exams down and two to go! Then it's time for a super sweet winter break.

Hang in there Baby

Octopuses are pretty awesome. Or are they Octopi? Whatever. Here's a quick drawing of one hanging around in a tree.

Now I must return to my studies.

Mother 3

Here's some Mother 3 fanart. A great game that more people should play. Hopefully it'll get released in North America sometime before the world comes to an end.
The ultimate chimera was such a great enemy. One touch = instant death. It was creepy and scary, yet I still found it strangley cute. A lot of the game was like that.

Today is a good day

Today is a good day. I'm very tired. I only got two hours of sleep last night. Finals are coming soon and that fills me with fear and apprehension. But it is still, I think, a good day.

It's the kind of day that makes me want to start an art blog.

Not sure why.

I'm also not sure what this is a picture of or why I drew it. But it looks pretty inspiring so I figure it’s a good piece to start with.
